Sai Abhyankkar Tamil Hits

Sai Abhyankkar built his name as an independent artist before Kollywood came calling, and that indie instinct still shapes his film work — synth-driven, melodic, a little different from the usual orchestral Tamil score. This playlist covers his Tamil soundtrack work, from "Dude" to the blockbuster Suriya film "Karuppu."

Who Is Sai Abhyankkar?

Sai Abhyankkar Ekambaresh, born on 4 November 2004 in Chennai, is the son of playback singers Tippu and Harini. He started composing on his own in his early teens, trained in vocals under Sriram Parthasarathy and A.T. Ramamoorthy, and by his own account had a bank of nearly a thousand original tunes ready before he signed his first film.

He broke out as an independent artist rather than through a studio launch — his 2024 single "Katchi Sera" went viral and has crossed 350 million YouTube views, followed by "Aasa Kooda," a duet with his sister Sai Smriti. His film scoring career opened with the bilingual "Balti," then the full soundtrack for "Dude," a Pradeep Ranganathan-starrer that became his Tamil breakout. He went on to replace A.R. Rahman as composer for RJ Balaji's "Karuppu," starring Suriya and Trisha, which released 15 May 2026 as a blockbuster. He's also signed on to score Silambarasan's next film and Atlee's Telugu project "Raaka," starring Allu Arjun.
