Who Is Allari Naresh?

Edara Naresh was born on 30 June 1986 in Chennai, though his family traces back to Korumamidi village in West Godavari district, Andhra Pradesh. He's the son of veteran Telugu director and producer E.V.V. Satyanarayana, and the younger brother of actor Aryan Rajesh, with whom he co-runs the production banner E.V.V. Cinema. He made his debut in "Allari" (2002), directed by Ravi Babu — the film's success is where his "Allari" nickname comes from, and it's stuck ever since.

His breakout came with "Gamyam" (2008), where his performance as "Gali Seenu" won him both a Nandi Award and a Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actor. He's since built a career around comedy entertainers, with "Sudigadu" (2012) becoming the highest-grossing film of his career at the time, alongside hits like "Seema Tapakai," "Naandhi," and a memorable supporting role in Mahesh Babu's "Maharshi" (2019). Across more than 55 films, he's shown range beyond comedy too, taking on darker, more serious roles in thrillers like "Naandhi."
