Nandamuri Taraka Rama Rao — known to fans as Tarak, and to the world as Jr. NTR — was born on 20 May 1983 in Hyderabad. He's the son of actor-politician Nandamuri Harikrishna and the grandson of N.T. Rama Rao, the legendary actor and three-time Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh; his stage name honors that legacy. He debuted as a child artist in "Brahmarshi Viswamitra" (1991), and his performance in "Ramayanam" (1997) won the National Film Award for Best Children's Film. He's also a trained Kuchipudi dancer, a skill that still shows in his screen presence today.
He took on lead roles from "Ninnu Chudalani" (2001), building a reputation through "Simhadri" (2003) and "Yamadonga" (2007) before "Temper" (2015) and "Janatha Garage" (2016) reestablished him as one of Tollywood's biggest mass stars. "Aravinda Sametha Veera Raghava" (2019) won him the National Film Award for Best Actor, but it was S.S.
